The RSI Smartcap EVOc Commercial, made from stainless steel commonly used in the automotive industry, is an excellent solution for outfitting the cargo space of your pickup. The steel side doors and rear window, with an optional protective mesh, provide an incredible guarantee of the safety of your transported items.
Manufactured from steel, the SmartCap canopy is likely the strongest design ever created.
The roof's load capacity is an impressive 150 kg in dynamic position and up to 350 kg in static position. (The standard roof load capacity in canopies made of plastic ranges from 50 to 70 kg).
Equipped with rails for mounting roof racks or leading crossbars from top manufacturers (RSI, Frontrunner, Rhino-Rack). The canopy does not require additional reinforcements for the installation of these solutions. The canopy's design allows for the mounting of roof ladders, tents, etc.
Each door is equipped with two locks. The low-profile latch mechanism design ensures ease of opening—just a touch is enough.
All locks in the canopy are identical, requiring only one key for each. They are made of durable high-density polyethylene (HDPE).
In situations where there is a need to transport higher loads, you can easily and quickly remove the canopy from the cargo space. The seal between the canopy and the side does not deform, allowing you to remove the canopy as often as necessary.
The pressure vent on the roof of the canopy filters air at a higher speed than the closed canopy trying to suck it back in, keeping dust and road dust away from your belongings.
Third brake light (for pickups with a third brake light on the rear tailgate, do not connect the third brake light located on the rear canopy door; the third brake light from the rear canopy door requires connection in cars where the canopy covers the factory brake light).
The hinges are made of zinc alloy, and the doors are equipped with durable gas struts.
Differences from the EVO Adventure version:
No MOLLE system on the side doors.
Non-opening front window (close to the cabin).
Optionally, you can equip the canopy with additional accessories from SmartCap, such as a kitchen module, a drawer module, or an organizer with the MOLLE system. With these additions, your vehicle will be an excellent partner at work.
Important notes:
RSI Smartcap canopies are delivered as a 5-piece set for assembly. Various tools and adhesives/sealers are needed for assembly.
The canopy is delivered in matte black; the price does not include painting the canopy in the body color code.
The canopy manufacturer does not guarantee compatibility with other accessories from different manufacturers mounted on the cargo space. Other accessories may require disassembly before installing the RSI Smartcap canopy.
The lack of factory mounting elements in the cargo space may result in the inability to install the canopy.
Water resistance: The factory cargo space in pickups is not factory 100% sealed, and the canopy manufacturer does not consider such a parameter in its construction. RSI canopies are a modular design consisting of several elements that can lead to water penetration at connection points. Sliding windows and seals may not meet European weather/temperature requirements.
IMPORTANT: According to the directive issued by Ford Motor Company, to install heavy accessories or load-bearing accessories in the cargo space (i.e., canopy/hardtop), additional Load Box Reinforcement Brackets are required. RSI Smartcap, in compliance with the guidelines, requires the separate purchase of (LBRB - RSI-R-J-Brace-P703-Set) - reinforcement brackets when deciding to purchase the Smartcap canopy.
